I actually scrapped last night

Imagine that, wow!!!! it's the first time I've scrapped in our new place. Without actually having a scrap space like the old place, I've felt less inclined to take out my supplies and do my LO's, but being wired on caffine last night, and with a quiet house, I managed a few LO's. Yay me!!!!

This LO came together easily as I used photosheet to organize my pictures in the order I wanted, printed it and kept it like it printed. No cropping, cutting or matting. A few strips of journalling and voila, a finished LO. This was the first day of real snow of the fall of 2010 and Jordyn and I went for a wonderful walk to take pictures. I love that she loves taking pictures as much as me.

And this LO I had so much fun with. I knew I wanted to include the invitation from Erika's baby shower on my LO so I printed my pictures at 3 1/2 x 5 so I could border them and they could fit well on my LO. With some bling, and paper that I used to make her shower card, it all came together nicely...a beautiful LO to showcase a beautiful women. But I must say, by the time I was done doing this LO, I was sure missing her lots. I can't wait to meet precious little Evalie when she's born.

My dear friend Erika

What a celebratory day today enjoying Erika opening all her baby shower gifts surrounded by those who love her. This has been a long journey for her and we were all blessed to be there today helping her navigate the waters towards motherhood. Much love was in the room today, advice from us moms, lots of gifts for baby and some for mom to be. Wonderful cupcakes made by her two sister in laws and other yummy food as well. I also was introduced to her sister Crystal who seems warm and wonderful like her sister. Many miles seperate Erika and I right now, and I am thankful she returned home to those she loves to mark this new chapter in her life. I am looking forward to being an aunty, and hopefully offering Erika advice and coping stratigies along the way.

Christmas Day 2010

I didn't take the usual pictures on Christmas day...none of us opening gifts, or making our tradition breakfast or of the wrapping etc....I just took some pictures at the end of the day of us by the tree...this is my family and that's what makes my heart happy.

Been uploading pictures to Costco to print from our vacation to Long Beach California back in Sept....here are some of my favorites to share.....my hubby while waiting for daughter to get off a ride and the family during our first visit to Knottsberry Farm.

This is my first attempt at blogging...hopefully I will get the hang of it soon enough and start posting pictures and creative endevors. Happy New Year all :)
